Charlie is always on the search for talented new writers and appreciates you making contact about your work.
If you are sending fiction, please include the first three chapters or thirty pages of your novel, a one to two page synopsis and a short covering letter.
For non-fiction, please send a detailed outline, with a sample chapter and a covering note.
Unfortunately, given the high volume of submissions, he is not able to respond to every one. As a general rule he can only respond personally to those proposals and submissions he wishes to pursue. If he is enthusiastic about your work you should hear from him quickly. If he hasn’t got back to you it will unfortunately mean he does not wish to offer representation.
Charlie does not represent children’s and young adult fiction, sci-fi and fantasy novels or unsolicited short story and poetry collections.
If you have received interest from other publishers and agents, or there are other developments with your submission, please do let him know.
Charlie does not accept scripts for theatre, film or television.
There is no need to telephone as everything you need to know is detailed here and you will only be directed back to this page.
Submissions are only accepted by email.
